Hire Terms & Conditions


1. Booking & Payment

  • A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • This deposit becomes non-refundable within 1 month of the event date.
  • Full payment is due 7 days before the event.
  • Prices are subject to VAT.
  • Payment can be made by bank transfer or card upon receipt of invoice.
  • A completed booking form is required to confirm all hires.


2. Hire Period

  • Standard hire covers delivery the afternoon before your event and collection the day after.
  • The unit is designed for use by up to 60 people over an 12-hour period (approx).
  • Longer hire periods are available but will incur additional servicing and emptying charges.


3. Delivery & Access

  • Hire price includes delivery and collection within 20 miles of our yard in Merstone.
  • Locations beyond this will incur an additional £35 charge.

You must provide:

  • A level area measuring at least 2m wide x 6m long
  • Suitable access for delivery

A few realities worth knowing:

  • We can make minor adjustments on slightly uneven ground
  • Steep slopes and awkward access can be a problem
  • If you're unsure, we’re happy to carry out a free site visit


4. Positioning of the Trailer

  • Once positioned, the trailer must not be moved.
  • Any repositioning must be carried out by us and may incur a charge.


5. Power Requirements

  • The unit operates on an onboard battery with up to 20 hours of use.
  • For longer use, a standard 13A power supply is required.
  • Power source must be within 20 metres of the trailer.


6. Operation During Hire

  • Keys will be provided to lock the trailer if required.
  • The client is responsible for basic operation during hire.

This includes:

  • Switching the unit on and off as needed using the switch on the service box f ,or lighting and music

(We promise it’s straightforward — no engineering degree required.)


7. Care of the Unit

The trailer will arrive clean, serviced, and ready to go.
We ask that it’s returned in a reasonable condition.

Please ensure:

  • No misuse, damage, or tampering
  • Only standard toilet waste and paper are disposed of in the system
  • No wipes, sanitary products, or foreign objects are flushed


8. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

  • The client is responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required during the hire period.
  • Charges will apply for:
  • Damage to fixtures, fittings, or structure
  • Blockages caused by misuse
  • Missing keys
  • Excessive soiling beyond normal use

If something goes wrong, just tell us.
Silence usually makes things more expensive.


9. Liability

  • The unit remains the property of Wight Event Power at all times.
  • The client is responsible for its safety and security during the hire period.
  • We are not liable for:
  • Injury or damage resulting from misuse
  • Issues caused by unsuitable ground or access not disclosed in advance


10. Cancellations

  • Deposits are non-refundable within 1 month of the event date.
  • Earlier cancellations may be refunded at our discretion.


11. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for failure to fulfil hire due to events beyond our control (extreme weather, access restrictions, etc.).
